Living in the Prescott Country Club is wonderful. We have the best weather in the country. We open our windows every night in the summer and have a gentle winter with little or no snow. The Prescott Country Club is a residential community of 1300 custom homes started in the 1970s. Each home offers a good view of the golf course, open land, or the surrounding Bradshaw Mountains. Lots range from about 1/4 acre to 1/2 acre. There is a small manufactured home section as well as duplex homes and townhomes. This variety offers choices of lifestyle and price ($70,000 to $700,000) for almost everyone to find a place to live.

Prescott Arizona is becoming a favorite place for Canadian buyers. Our perfect weather allows our northern neighbors to enjoy Arizona the full year. While Phoenix and Scottsdale offer a great winter retreat, Prescott summers are excellent. That’s a claim that the Phoenix valley can’t make. Summer in Phoenix is like winter in Winnepeg. You tend to stay indoors. Yet in Prescott our average summer temperature is about 85 with low humidity. It’s where people from Phoenix come to excape the heat!
Come on down. We’d love to show off. See! We’re …

Shared Wells
Shared wells are viewed positively by some and negatively by others. I hope to dispell some myths and tell it like it is. Water in central Arizona’s Prescott Quad-City area is a precious commodity. We live in an Active Management Area and under the law we cannot import or export our water. Shared wells have their place here.
Here are both sides of the story.
Negative Aspects:
Requires a cooperative effort between neighbors to conserve water.
One party could be viewed as using a disproportionate share of the water.
There is less self freedom
Requires …

Water Usage and Wells
We live in a desert depending on ground water for survival. City water wells and private wells alike depend on what has collected in aquifers over the ages. Are we using it faster than nature is replenishing it? I’d put money on that especially with our current drought conditions and the population growth of central Arizona. At this time nobody really knows. However, there is a finite amount of water on earth. It does not disappear when used. It goes into the septic systems, the sewer …
